Webcast Examines Election Results
NAR hosted a live webcast about the election outcome on Nov. 9. During this live webcast, NAR Senior Vice President Jerry Giovaniello and NAR Political Consultant Doug Sosnik explained the impact of the election results at the federal, state and local levels. Jerry and Doug also answered several questions from the audience.

2016 General Election
- ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL BEGINS: Friday, September 9
- VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, October 14 (NC Voter Registration Form)
- ONE-STOP EARLY VOTING BEGINS: Thursday, October 20
- ONE-STOP EARLY VOTING ENDS: Saturday, November 5 at 1:00PM
- LAST DAY TO RETURN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT: Tuesday, November 8 at 5:00PM
ELECTION DAY: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8
Due to a recent Federal court decision, North Carolina's Voter ID law will not go into effect for this election cycle unless an appeal is approved prior to Election Day. Though the mandatory requirement no longer exists, NC REALTORS® encourages you to remember to take some form of photo identification with you to your polling location to ensure an efficient voting process.
