Mediation Training (Wed. 20 Sep, 2017 9:00 am - Thu. 21 Sep, 2017 5:00 pm)

IN MEDIATION, THERE ARE ONLY WINNERS.  THERE ARE NO LOSERS.

Even REALTORS® who are committed to high standards of conduct occasionally have honest business disputes with other professionals, clients or customers.  In REALTOR® to REALTOR® disputes, mediation preserves personal and working relationships by solving problems quickly and amicably. 

By attending NC REALTORS® Mediation Training you will learn important mediation techniques and skills to assist you in mediating disputes.  This training focuses on the REALTOR® Mediation Model and will teach you how to assist in solving disputes within the REALTOR® organization, the workplace, with agents, clients, your family and more.

Local REALTOR® associations are required by NAR to provide mediation services. Mediation Training will help local associations develop trained mediators, thus reducing the workload on local grievance and professional standards committees!

GRI: Balancing Business Risks & Ethics (Fri. 22 Sep, 2017 8:30 am - 5:00 pm)

This course provides an integrated study of the daily legal issues and risk management concerns that occur in the business of real estate, and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Many of the provisions of the Code of Ethics can be paired with state and federal real estate statutes, rules, and requirements. 

The provisions of the Code of Ethics will be examined alongside state and federal statutes to illustrate their interaction, and to provide an understanding of the relationship between the requirements, regardless of their source.
