AHWD is an NAR certification program designed to present a picture of the changing face of the real estate industry. The At Home with Diversity course addresses the topics of diversity, fair housing and business planning development. After successfully completing the course, REALTORS® are eligible to apply for the official AHWD certification, which conveys to clients they’re working with a dynamic real estate professional with expertise that transcends cultural barriers. That’s My Instructor
Katherine Kirchner is the owner and lead instructor of That’s My Instructor real estate school. Before opening her own school in 2023, Katherine was a real estate broker in the Triangle, an Education Officer at the Real Estate Commission, and a Prelicensing and Postlicensing instructor. Before that, she taught English at the middle, high school, and community college levels. Since joining the real estate profession, she has written the NC Real Estate Commission’s first 12 Hour BIC Course for online delivery, various electives for brokers across the country, and the elective, Pricing to Appraise for NC brokers. Before settling in Raleigh, Katherine has called various places across NC her home, including Boone, Durham, Wilmington, Washington, and New Bern.
