Flood Insurance Mythbusters

With the recent discussion about the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) reauthorization, there has been a lot of discussion about the good and the bad of the NFIP, as well as the current reform proposals.

Through that discussion, there has been a fair amount of misinformation presented, leading to a lot more questions than answers about this valuable program for many in our state.

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) has put together a comprehensive examination of the current reform proposal, “The 21st Century Flood Reform Act”, including many of the common misconceptions.
