January 2025 NC REALTORS® Board of Directors Meeting Recap

The NC REALTORS® Board of Directors convened during the 2025 NC REALTORS® Winter Leadership Meetings in Winston-Salem, NC, making key decisions that impact the association and its members.

Key Approvals
During the meeting, the Board approved several important items:

  • Certification of the 2025 Executive Committee – Ensuring leadership continuity and strategic direction for the year ahead.
  • Amendment to NC REALTORS® Bylaws – The term of service for NAR Directors elected from small and medium associations will now extend from one year to two years, providing greater stability and representation.
  • Waiver of 2025 State Dues for Gaston County Members – Primary members of the Gaston County Association of REALTORS® who were members on the date of the storm will have their NC REALTORS® state dues waived for 2025. Funding will be allocated from NC REALTORS® savings.

Financial Update
Treasurer Renee Cooney reported that NC REALTORS® maintains a strong financial standing, with membership numbers and dues revenue exceeding 2024 budget projections. Staff and volunteer leaders continue to diligently manage the association’s resources.

Board Orientation
Board members participated in their annual orientation, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of NC REALTORS® and their specific roles within the organization.
